15 Jan Day 15

Hey guys!

It’s Sunday arvo here and I seem to have found myself in a quiet room. By myself. :()  I know this won’t last long but I will do my best to punch out this post before the chaos returns!

We’ve been having a great holiday these past 2 weeks since we last chatted (ok..since I last chatted AT you and you were kind enough to humour me) we’ve been to the beach for a holiday – LOVED – and then back home to just potter about and try to get this place in some sort of order.

So…what’s been making me happy?? All the simple things in life really. It’s been around 14 days since my last post (feeling slightly like I’m at confession. Though not catholic so even weirder…..) so here are 14 happy thoughts/things/moments/you get the idea…..

3 Happy hour with the best of friends

8 Baking cookies – recipe below

9 Excellent thrift shop finds when you least expect them

10 Books books books

11 PINTEREST!!! Come play with me – username awhitestyle

12 Decluttering – just starting – slightly obsessed – the children may be in danger

13 Pretty vintage fabrics – NEED more

14 Sleep ins – cos school holidays – best!

Ok…recipe time!! I whipped these beauties up this morning, I’m sure I’ve shared before but really…can one recipe share too often? I think not.

 Jam Drops

125gms butter – softened

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg

2 teaspn honey

1 cup SR flour

1/2 cup plain flour

1/4 cup cornflour

jam – whatever flavour you love – I used strawb.

Preheat oven to 170 degrees

Cream butter and sugar together in mixer. Add egg and honey and mix again.

Sift in the flours and fold through.

Roll mixture into balls and place onto greased/lined baking trays. make small dents in the balls (I used the handle of a wooden spoon, have also used pinky finger)

Fill hole with jam then throw in oven for approx 12-15 minutes.

Let cool on tray for a few mins then transfer onto cooling rack.

Best eaten with hot coffee!!!

These are really simple to make and SO tasty!! Trust me. Actually don’t. Just bake them for yourself and then you’ll agree!!

Hope you all had a great w’end. And definietly hope you have a fab week ahead!!

Stay happy folks!!

Janelle xx
